An abandoned child, born between a Kaguya man and an Uchiha woman.  Sakuya was abandoned at the age of 3 and dropped on the doorsteps of an old crone, who many called 'witch' due to her weird rumblings and dabbling into the occult.  The crone raised Sakuya to be a polite, kind girl who maintains a small and local shrine.  She was bullied growing up for being the daughter of 'The Witch of Takigakure' and was beat-up, called names, and shunned by the local children.  It didn't matter how tough her life was, she knew that 'The Witch of Takigakure' was a kind and caring person.  Someone who didn't have to take care of her but did so with extreme respect and dignity; for that she was eternally grateful.  

One night, Sakuya heard a creaking in the large mansion that her caretaker was in, stirring her awake.  She lit a candle and sleepily walked around the house to see what the sound was.  Her caretaker was busy doing research in her study, only to find out that a group of teenagers broke into the house.  They overpowered Sakuya and forced her to tell them where 'The Witch' was.  After pointing them in the direction of the old woman, they released her just to beat up 'the witch'.  Angered by this, her eyes flickered from their usual purple to a brilliant red.  She challenged the teenagers and released a massive wave of fire from her mouth.  This was more than enough to drive off the teenagers.

She went to the old crone's side to see if she was fine and was only given a smile and the words "It's fine, nothing that can't be fixed" before she healed herself.  Having noticed Sakuya's unlocking of the Sharingan, the old crone enrolled Sakuya into the Shinobi Academy, walking to the academy, herself to do so.  This shocked the populace and after taking time to know 'The Witch of Takigakure' their opinions of the woman changed and Sakuya was successfully on the road to becoming a shinobi of Takigakure.
