The Legend
Honoka grew up learning about the heroes of Earth Country and how they thwarted the attempts by the Fire Country to take over the world and, when a group of people did take over the world, Earth Country was there on the front lines to put an end to it. Those tales of heroism inspired Honoka to be something greater. She lived a boring life, going through the academy, becoming a Genin and then the Second Bijuu War had began. Soon after the Second Bijuu War had begun, Ash had been demolished by one of the Bijuu controlled by Konoha.

Konoha had sent the one-tailed Bijuu to attack Takigakure in that same year. Upon watching the First-Takikage, Michino Kai, single-handedly repel the one-tailed Bijuu, she was instantly inspired to become as great a ninja as he. Once the war had begun, she was drafted to defend the border between between the Fire Country and Waterfall Country. The border defense ended in a failure with Honoka being the last one left alive. Her friends that she grew up with and other shinobi laid dead upon the ground around her. Her Earth Grudge powers had awakened, killing enough of the Konoha forces to cause them to retreat for now.

News about Honoka's abilities started to spread throughout Takigakure with people shunning Honoka. She received death threats and terrified those around her. The power of Earth Grudge was feared by those in Takigakure to the point that the First-Takikage ended up banishing Honoka from the village; as a measure to protect the village from a potentially rampage. With a tear-felt farewell, she left the gates of Takigakure to strike out on her own. During her time outside of the Takigakure gates, she encountered an old man named Kikubungi Raku, who (after many attempts to which he ended up relenting) took Honoka in as a student. He taught her how to harness the power of the Earth Grudge and the power of the chains given to her by way of birth.

Honoka, with Raku's permission, was to return to Takigakure. However, as she returned, she saw the village was surrounded by massive Bijuu. With a divine light, Honoka sealed the 9 Bijuu into bracelets that she had with her. These bracelets would be distributed among the 4 remaining Minor Shinobi villages, 3 going to Takigakure, 2 going to Rain, 2 going to Sound, 2 going to Grass. Honoka then fought valiantly for the remainder of the Second Bijuu War before dying to an illness shortly after the war's end. A statue was constructed in the Village Plaza within Takigakure.
